Handyman for Hire

He's a Jack of all trades with reasonable rates. He comes highly recommended and he specializes in anything having to do with "agua". And for the ladies, he's quite the hunk. Rather easy on the eyes, if you ask me. You'll just want to watch him work all day long! ;)

Services include:

Washing your car

Washing your tree trunk

Washing your patio

Washing your plant stand

Now this handyman does like to take an occasional break but it certainly doesn't detract from his excellent handyman skills.

He's an honest worker. Just look at that face!

Such a very thorough, hard, and CUTE worker!

His services can't be beat! Call Handy Jackson today!

Say Cheese!

This picture CRACKS. ME. UP! It was taken when we were in Galveston. My aunt had the camera and asked Jackson to smile, he didn't. So my cousin Michael grabbed the camera and asked Jackson to smile and this is what he gave him. A huge cheesy grin! Every single time I look at it, I laugh! It's so funny!

Visitor!

Jackson & I had a visitor one evening and he goes by the name, Frogger. Frogger lives just outside our house with his buddies. We really enjoy having Frogger and his buds as neighbors because they handle all the yucky insects that inhabit our yard, especially the crickets. Since Frogger and his frog friends moved in last year, we've only seen a cricket or two whereas we used to see & hear tons! I LOATHE crickets so Frogger and his friends were welcomed with open arms. I think they really like it here too as some of Frogger's friends have gained some serious poundage! They're BIG guys, let me tell ya. They're eating well and taking it easy, I suppose. So I guess Frogger got tired of being on the outside one day and he decided to come check out things on the inside. I don't know how he got in. I imagine he just hopped right on in when I had the door open. And I don't know how long he had been in the house. I'm surprised the cats never noticed him because they sure would have tortured the little guy so it's a good thing Jackson & I spotted him first. He hopped around our kitchen for a bit and then made his way to the living room. Jackson loved it. I made him keep his distance though until I could figure out what to do and of course, to take some pictures! I ended up catching Frogger in a clear plastic bin and we watched him hop around in there for a bit before taking him outside. Jackson thought it was riot! We set Frogger out in our front yard and watched him hop around for a bit. Jackson wanted to take a brief walk so we walked down our street and back. We looked for Frogger when we came back and he had already hopped away into the sunset. We said "See ya later friend! Catch ya on the flip side!" and we headed inside for dinner!

For Sale!

Wow, I didn't realize it's been about 2 weeks since I updated the blog. We've been super duper busy! As most of you already know, we put our house up for sale last weekend. Last week was CrAzY! Jerry & I worked most days from 8am to 11pm, sometimes 12am, and one night until 1am, with small breaks here & there. We had so much to do around here! We never realized how much JUNK we had accumulated over the 6 years we've lived here. Jackson spent most of the week with my grandparents which was a huge help to us and great fun for him! Finally after very little sleep and some severely sore bodies, our house went up on the market Friday morning. Wow, does this place look nice! We replaced all the carpet on the bottom floor with hardwood flooring and I love it so much! I'm sad to leave it behind. I'm really impressed with how this place turned out though. I'm actually quite proud of us! We did get some help from a stager but she only tweaked a few things here & there. The rest was all our hard work. We've had 2 showings already and we're keeping our fingers crossed that this coming weekend goes well. Wish us lots of luck! It's very stressful living in limbo!!!

This face!

OMG, I LOVE it!!!!! Those big brown eyes, those long wispy bangs, the crusty's under his nose, the slightly dirty upper lip, those little pursed lips, the hair going over his ears. I love it, I just love it! I can't get enough of this face! He's my sweet, sweet boy and I just love him to pieces!!!

Galveston, Oh Galveston!

We went to Galveston 2 weeks ago and had a great time! Jerry was sick the WHOLE time we were there with some yucky stomach virus so he wasn't able to do much. Poor guy! Jackson & I had lots of fun though with Annie & Michael. Lots of laughs, that's for sure. Jackson was a little unsure about the beach. He did NOT like the water but he sure did like digging in the sand. One thing he absolutely loved though was the aquarium! Oh man, he had a blast there. He was a huge fan of the penguins and the sharks & sting rays. He kept running back & forth between both exhibits squealing with delight! We have it on video and I'll try to get it uploaded (don't hold your breath though). Our trip went by way too fast! I can't wait to go back!

Annie, Jackson, & Michael watching TV. Notice who has the remote!

We had a yummy dinner at this place one evening. So good!

This was our view from our table at the restaurant.

Jackson insisted on holding both Michael & Jerry's hand!
Such cute boys!

The Chess Master!

Trying to get Jackson used to the water. He wasn't having it!

Jackson's fave...the penguins!

Another one of Jackson's faves...the sting ray.

Jackson was so TIRED after the aquarium. He was out in no time with his penguin friend by his side. Michael picked it out for him. So sweet!

Another day at the beach!

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July with our friends Matt, Deborah, and Baby Bryce. They came over to our place for dinner. We hung out, ate, went for a walk, and then headed into the big city of Kyle to catch the fireworks. Good times, good times! Thanks so much to our friends Wendy & Ben for letting us sit out in their front yard to see the fireworks (they were out of town)! What a great view! Jackson loved the show!!

Here are a few pics I snapped of Jackson that day. He had on a really cute plaid red, white & blue button-up shirt over his red baseball shirt but got tired of it after while. So he ditched it and refused to let me put it on him again! What a goof!

Station 7

Jerry & Jackson went to visit Jerry's old crew over at 7's. I miss them and would really have liked to see them but I was forbidden to go as it was 'guys only'! Whatever! Anyway, they had a great time visiting with Kim, Dan, and Dave and Jackson got to take a few pics with Engine 7. Next time, this girl is totally crashing that guys only party and will be tagging along!

Water Play

One of Jackson's favorite summer time activities! He was running through the sprinkler and playing with his water table. I couldn't get good pictures because the kid was all over the place!!

Busy! Busy!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I'd posted anything. We've been really busy around here. Grandma Flo was in town about 2 weeks ago and then we headed down to Galveston last week. So we've just been playing catch up around here. I've finally downloaded loads of pictures off my camera and will try to get back into regularly updating. Here are a few pics I found of Jackson on his 18 month birthday back on May 29th. He was doing one of his favorite things...playing with the water hose!

So behind...yet again!

We've been busy around here so I'm falling behind on updates & posts. I've been meaning to post Jackson's 18 Month update as well but just haven't had the time. For now, I'll just post a few pix and get to the details a little later.
