Beach day! We went to Zuma beach for the day and had a lot of fun! Jackson HATED the water. He cried, it was way too cold!! We didn't particularly care for it either!

Los Angeles, Day 3
Los Angeles, Day 2
Okay so I had planned to give a witty, detailed play-by-play of each day of our trip but I'm way too busy chasing Jackson around the house to do that (well, those of you that really know me know that I'm really just too lazy). So instead you just get a brief overview and lots of pics! Enjoy!!!
On day 2 we:
- went to a scenic overlook to get a view of the city
- visited Hollywood (the Chinese Theatre, The Kodak Theater, & the Walk of Fame)
- went to The Grove for lunch and sat 3 tables away from J.K. Simmons
- saw a paparazzi chase

Los Angeles, Day 1
Our first full day in LA was spent taking it easy, checking out the sites around Glendale, and visiting family. We spent the morning at Travel Town, which was very cool. Jerry has fond memories of going there when he was kid so it was only appropriate to take Jackson there! He even scored a pair of cool Travel Town socks to commemorate his visit!!

Later in the day, we took a drive out to Agoura Hills to visit with Jerry's Uncle Dennis & Aunt Doris. Jackson put on quite a show for everyone while we were there. He spent a good hour or so just screaming (in a silly way) at the top of his lungs during dinner. We couldn't stop laughing! We had a great time hanging out with them for the evening and we can't wait to see them again soon!
Leaving on a Jet Plane
Jackson on his way to Los Angeles. He did great! No loud outbursts, no kicking the seat in front of him, no crying. He was awake for about an hour and a half before conking out for the rest of the 3 hour flight. It was a smooth ride! Thank goodness!!

Finally figured it out...and other ramblings
Yay! I finally figured out how to correctly upload and share our videos of Jackson! Marc (Jerry's birth-father) gave us an awesome video camera and the Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements programs. I've been messing around with Premiere Elements trying to figure out how to capture video, edit it, share it, etc... but it's a lot harder than I expected. It's probably not that hard but I don't have a whole lot of time to just sit down and learn it so I just mess around with it during small windows of opportunity. Since I was in bed most of this week, I had more free time than usual. I was able to bring our laptop in bed with me and actually get some work done. And yay me, I put it all together this morning and lo & behold, there's a video of Vaquero Jackson! It's about a month old but that's okay. It's the video I was practicing with. So enjoy and now that I know how to do this, look forward to more videos!
Oh and some of our other ramblings:
- I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled on Monday. The recovery has been okay. It's definitely very difficult to watch a mobile 9 month old while trying to take care of yourself at the same time. Actually, it sucks!
- We know we're behind on lots of updates. We still need to share pics of our trip to LA. At least I started by posting pics of the flight. I'm waiting to get a CD of pictures from my sister (who took a bunch) so once I have those, I'll start posting about our trip.
- We're also behind on Jackson's 9 month update. We'll get to that later as well. I'm just too lazy to do that right now...I blame my teeth, the meds, and my crawling baby! :)
- My brother gets married in 2 weeks. My dress has been altered, Jerry has been fitted for his tux, and Jackson's outfit came in on Wednesday! I can't wait to see him all dressed up, especially with the cool hat and awesome shoes!

Well, time for lunch...something soft for me, some chicken & cheese for Jackson!

Crawling!
Well it finally happened! Jackson FINALLY crawled!!!!!! It took forever for him to get going. Really, it took like a month and a half. He mastered pulling himself up to his knees and then his feet. He mastered the art of scooting on his little behind and crawling backwards but crawling forward was just out of his reach. On Thursday though, something clicked! He was rocking on his hands and knees and just took off! We were so excited for the little guy!! Now we have some serious baby proofing to do around the house and the cats....poor cats, they're in for it now.
Unfortunately, we don't have any action shots to share. We've been so busy getting back to normal from our trip that our camera is who knows where! Although, we do have some bath time pics from a few weeks back to share! So enjoy those for now and we'll get back to ya soon.
By the way, I'll be out of commission for a few days. I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled bright & early tomorrow morning. :( Wish me luck!

Silly
Jackson was eating small bits of banana the other day and got a piece stuck to his face. He had no idea it was there and it was the funniest thing! Of course, we had to grab the camera and take a picture! What a silly little guy.
By the way, this silly little guy will be on vacation for the next 8 days. He's off to sunny California for some r&r and quality time with family. Watch out Hollywood....here comes Jackson! Maybe he'll make his big break in showbiz and bring his mommy & daddy millions! We can only hope! ;)

Little Compadres
Jackson's compadre Daniel came over with his mommy Wendy for a little get together the other day. The boys haven't really interacted too much b/c they've always been big lumps on a log but now that they're both sitting up and moving around, they really took notice of each other. It was a hoot! We couldn't stop laughing at how they interacted. If only we knew what they were thinking! :)

Trip to the Fire Station
Jackson went to visit his daddy at Station 17 recently. He had a great time checking out the ladder truck and seeing some of daddy's coworkers. He can't wait to go back!

Friends of all ages!
On Tuesday, Jackson & I got together for an afternoon of fun with my former coworkers from Bedichek. We all met at Barbara's place. Danielle came with her little man, Graham (4 months old) and Adriana attended with her little cutie, Avery (7 weeks old). We all had a great time hanging out, talking, and passing babies around! Unfortunately, Jackson & I had to leave a little early because he became incredibly tired. We look forward to meeting up with our friends again soon!
