Happy Halloween!

Today was Jackson's first Halloween. He was going to be a shark but he was pretty unhappy in that costume and it was a bit too big so he was a friendly, little dragon instead. Anyway, we had a really nice evening! Mimi & Poppa came over, we walked around the neighborhood, stopped by to visit some friends, and then came home to hand out candy. Jackson had a late night. He didn't get to sleep until 8:30. Poor little guy, he was zonked! Hope everyone had a great evening! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Jackson, the Dragon

Getting ready for a night of trick or treating!

Aren't dragons supposed to be scary!?!

Jackson & his evil twin. Now that's scary! (By the way, Jackson is holding the shoulder harness of his stroller. He managed to take it off somehow).

Favorite Activity

Jackson figured out how to climb our stairs about a month ago. It has now become his all time favorite activity. We climb the stairs at least 3 times a day! He's figured out how to go up. Coming down is a whole other story!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, everywhere!

This past Sunday Jerry, Jackson, my mom & I went to Sweet Berry Farm out in Marble Falls. Jackson had just woken up from a nap when we arrived and was a quite overwhelmed by all the hustle & bustle (it was pretty crowded). So he was pretty expressionless the whole time we were there! I think we managed to get a smile out of him once, maybe twice but it was always just after we had taken a picture! Go figure!! Nonetheless, we had a great time hanging out, feeding the goats, and picking out pumpkins!

Mr. Bojangles

A brief conversation between Jackson & Mr. Bojangles (the mystery dog).

Mr. Bojangles showed up on our back patio one morning, struck up a conversation with Jackson, and then left, never to be seen or heard from again!

Outside, at the fence

Being naughty....

at Biso & Bisa's! Jackson couldn't resist pulling off Bisa's crochet doilies off the recliner. A big no-no which was way too funny!

Video!!

I know I said a while back that you'd start seeing more videos since I figured out how to do it...well, I obviously lied because you've seen nothing! :) Until today anyway! Here's Jackson being silly with daddy during dinnertime and then a little bit of his early attempts at crawling. Enjoy!

AFD's 150th Anniversary

Saturday was the 150th Anniversary of the Austin Fire Department. AFD celebrated by having a big shindig at the Austin Fire Museum and central station. Jackson & I went with Mimi & Mina. We met Jerry down there and also our friends Ann & Bryce. We had a great time visiting with all our fire friends! We hung out, ate lunch, took ANOTHER tour of the museum, and checked out the fire trucks. The turn out was great and the fire museum did really well! They're selling some really cool 150th anniversary t-shirts for $10 if anyone is interested!! ;) Anyway, we had lots of fun and the party was a great success. It was Jerry's last hurrah as he is now handing over the reigns to Phil. Good luck, Phil! Have fun being President!! :)

Some pictures I stole from Ann's blog:

Helping Daddy

Jerry made a gate to put at the bottom of our stairs. Jackson decided that Daddy needed some help installing it so he went over to supervise and make sure all was level! It sure is great having two handymen in the house!!
